Install Revive in two minutes.
Revive installs from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Pick the path that matches your account.
Open the Workspace Marketplace listing
Visit the Revive listing on the Google Workspace Marketplace and click Install. Listing URL coming soon — for the dev preview, log into the app directly.
Approve permissions
Google will show the consent screen. Revive asks for the minimum scopes it needs to read images you select and write colorized copies back.
- See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Drive files you use with Revive
- View your basic profile (email, name, language) so Revive can show you the right account
Revive uses Google's drive.file scope — the narrowest scope available. Files you never open with Revive are invisible to it.
Open Drive and right-click any folder
From your Drive's right-click menu, choose Open with → Revive. The Revive panel opens with your selection ready to go.
Try three free photos
New accounts start with 3 free tokens — pick three black-and-white photos and click Colorize. Top up tokens whenever you're ready.
Domain-wide install requires Google Workspace super-admin access. Once installed, Revive becomes available to every user in your organization without any per-user prompt.
Open the Workspace Marketplace listing as super-admin
Visit the Revive listing while signed in to a super-admin account. Click Domain Install instead of Install.
Choose scope
Install for the entire domain, or scope to one or more organizational units. You can change scope later in the Admin console under Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace apps.
Approve scopes once, for everyone
Approve the same two scopes (Drive files, basic profile) on behalf of your organization. End users won't see a consent screen the first time they open Revive.
Set up billing
Revive's tokens roll up to one billing account per domain — token packs purchased by an admin are usable by every authorized user. Tokens never expire and aren't reset between users.
Troubleshooting
Revive isn't in my "Open with" menu
Reload Drive in your browser. New add-ons sometimes need a refresh before they appear. If your domain admin restricts add-ons, ask them to allow Revive.
Permission denied on a Shared Drive
Revive can only write to folders you have edit access to. For Shared Drives, you need Content manager or higher. Check the share settings on the parent folder.
Some images skipped
Revive only colorizes images it can decode (JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP). Other file types are skipped silently and not charged. Skipped files are listed in the task details.
I want to remove Revive
Visit your Google Account → Security → Third-party apps and remove access. Or, admins can remove the app from the Admin console under Marketplace apps. Tokens stay in your account if you reinstall later.
